Who is Kyoko?

I tell people, “I’ve been a graphic designer since B.C. – Before Computer.” I designed concepts on paper, using an exacto knife and wax to paste-up. I navigated Tokyo, Chicago, New York, and Watertown (just outside of Boston), and enjoyed working for a design studio, an advertising agency, an architecture firm, and a publisher.

I appreciate eastern Zen simplicity, which may be  the result of my cultural background. I also admire the craftsmanship of fine design: a mix and balance of functionality and beauty in every tool, like good kitchen knife.
